1. Who we are

Relay Station is an online radio and music-submission platform where artists submit tracks to hosts for review, airplay and feedback. The station owner is the controller of the personal data described here.

Questions, requests or complaints about this policy can be sent to the station owner through the contact details on the About page.

2. What we collect

Account data: email address and sign-in details, handled by our authentication provider. We never see your password.

Profile data: artist or host name, handle, photo, bio, location, genres, social links and AI declaration.

Submission data: track titles, audio files or streaming links, artwork and press notes.

Review data: scores and written notes hosts leave on your submissions, plus your overall rating.

Activity data: queue events such as when a submission was received, queued, boosted, swapped, reviewed or played, and notifications sent to you.

Payment records: tier, amount, receipt number, and timestamps for when a payment was started and confirmed. Payments are made directly between artist and host through PayPal, Cash App or Stripe — we never receive, hold or store card or bank details.

Technical data: basic log information such as IP address and browser type, created automatically when you use the site.

3. Why we use it and our legal basis

To provide the service — your profile, the submission queues, reviews and the live station. This is necessary to perform our agreement with you.

To notify hosts and artists about queue, review and payment activity, as part of providing the service.

To keep an accurate record of submission payments in case of a dispute, chargeback or legal request, and to meet accounting obligations. Payment records are retained even after a submission is withdrawn or deleted.

To keep the platform safe — preventing abuse, spam and fraudulent submissions, based on our legitimate interests.

Optional cookies and preferences are used only with your consent.

4. How long we keep it

Profile and submission data: for as long as your account is active.

Payment and receipt records: retained for at least five years for accounting, tax and dispute purposes, even after a submission or account is deleted.

Notifications and queue events: retained while the related submission exists.

5. Deleting submissions and data

Deleting a free, unpaid submission removes it from the queues and lets you submit the same track again. The related payment and activity records are kept for accounting and dispute purposes.

You can ask for your account and profile to be deleted at any time by contacting the station. Records we are required to keep for legal or financial reasons will be retained for as long as necessary.

6. Who can see your data

Public: your artist profile, releases, genres, AI declaration and published review scores.

Private: your submissions, timelines, payment records and notifications are visible only to you and the host involved.

Station admins: may access payment and receipt history to resolve disputes, correct errors or respond to a legal request.

Third parties: our hosting, database, authentication and payment providers process data on our behalf under their own security terms. We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.

7. International transfers

Our hosting, database and payment providers may store or process data outside your country. Where that happens we rely on the provider's standard contractual safeguards.

8. Security

Access to submissions, payment records and notifications is enforced at the database level so that only you, the host involved and station admins can read them. Audio files in private storage are served through short-lived signed links.

No system is perfectly secure. Please use a strong, unique password and tell us immediately if you suspect your account has been accessed.

9. Children

Relay Station is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). If we learn that a child has created an account, we will remove it.

10. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in, and optional cookies only if you accept them in the cookie banner. Full details, and how to change your choice, are in the Cookie Policy.

11. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, to withdraw consent at any time, and to complain to your local data protection authority. Contact the station to make a request.

12. Changes

We may update this policy as the platform grows. Material changes will be announced on the site. The date below shows the last update.
